Help us raise money for Solace Women’s Aid

We are 2 friends and colleagues and in January 2018, despite never having done anything like this before, were inspired to apply to V-Day to put on a performance of The Vagina Monologues and were accepted. V-Day Camden was formed resulting in 2 sell-out shows in February 2018 and raising £2500 for Solace Women’s Aid .

With some old and some new cast members, we are all set to do it again in February 2019! But we can't do this without your help.  We need to pay for the venue hire and cover any other costs of putting on this production.  All other money raised will go to Solace Women’s Aid in Camden. We will also be donating 10% of the money raised to organisations that support women in prisons and jails, detention centres, and formerly incarcerated women, in line with V-Day's annual spotlight theme. 

We are aware that people who cannot attend the event would like to support the benefit and donate to Solace Women’s Aid in Camden.  Any donations at all will make a huge difference and help us raise money for an organisation that provides support to 5,000 survivors of domestic abuse in London each year.

About the Vagina Monologues: 

The Vagina Monologues is a play written by Eve Ensler and premiered in 1996 in New York.  The New York Times called the play "probably the most important piece of political theatre of the last decade."


In 1998, Ensler and others launched V-Day, a global non-profit movement that has raised over $100 million for groups working to end violence against women and girls. VM has been performed all over the world in many languages over the last 21 years.
