Help Ukrainians, people in need

Tax deductible

Do you want to join me in making a difference?

On the 20th March at 10am I will walk from Woldingham School in Surrey to Clapham Common Bandstand in South London. I am raising money for the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so very much to me.

Many young people of my age have had to leave their homes, their families to find safety with just a small suitcase of possessions.  I have Ukrainian friends with family still in Ukraine, one 16 year old took several days to escape to Poland and waits with her mother to obtain a UK visa and we do not know how long it will take.

The pain that the people of Ukraine and other nationalities stuck in the country are going through at this moment is something I cannot even begin to imagine, but what I can do is help them.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) - which in major crises brings together 14 leading UK aid charities to raise money to help save lives and rebuild shattered communities - is appealing for funds. The DEC Ukraine Humanitarian appeal will protect people - living in refugee camps - who are extremely vulnerable due to war conflict.
