HELP UKRAINE HUNTINGDONSHIRE

We have all been shocked and saddened by the events we have seen in Ukraine. ‘Help Ukraine Huntingdonshire’ is supporting all our local host families, with the help of our local Council and many volunteers to support the integration of families into our community. We are currently supporting over 70 Ukrainian people locally, and this figure will continue to rise each week as new guests arrive with their host families. We need your help to raise funds so we can help provide:

• Integration support for children in local communities and schools, providing funding for uniforms, books and stationery;

• access to medical and dental care;

• funding for shoes, clothing, toys and general supplies;

• access to travel;

• access to Sports, leisure and social programmes

• Counselling support

• access to weekly social group meetings for Ukrainian families

This community group has been assembled to oversee and offer support to refugees and hosts to ensure the donations are distributed fairly and sensibly. Funds raised are supporting community groups and host families across Huntingdonshire.
