Uber driver's urgent plea for help
Please help this Uber driver to get back on the road and be able again to offer safe rides and earn my living. My car needs urgent repairs without which it's unsafe to drive - especially to drive with passengers. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay for the necessary repairs myself - as I ran out of money paying my long past due bills.
I'm an IT specialist who have been unemloyed for the last 5 years. I was working for some time on several IT-related projects as self-employed contractor, yet this source of my income gradually dried up. I started driving for Uber a couple of years ago to earn money to pay the bills, yet it was putting lots of wear and tear on the car - and now it's not safe to drive - it needs urgent repairs - the most pressing is the worn-out suspension and the replacement of the two front tires which got eaten up because of the suspension problems. The mechanic's estimate of the cost is $1,500 - $2,000.
I would really appreciate your help - as driving for Uber is currently the only source of my income - and now I can't drive until the car would be repaired.
