Help Tyra pay bills from dog attack

Hi everyone -

It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you the events that occurred and why we need your help.

When I rescued my dog Bub, he showed slight aggressive tendencies I was told I could manage with certain protocols. Despite mine and others efforts, Bub’s aggression got worse and something too big for my hands to hold, leading to his recent euthanasia.

About two weeks ago, Tyra entered the home in which I was staying and, unprovoked, Bub attacked her out of fear - the most aggression I’ve ever seen from him. He bit her leg, foot and left a bad scratch near her stomach. Due to the severity of the bite on her leg, she now has stitches, cannot work until fully healed and now has over $4k in medical bills and about a months worth of rent that needs to be covered. Not to mention trauma that she’ll have to live with every day, along with the others who were present. We are so thankful that it wasn’t worse, as it easily could have been .

As for Bub, those who knew him understood that he was a kind, loving, empathic, silly and wonderful boy. A very unique soul. I am heartbroken that I couldn’t help him more, but he is at rest now and no one else has to face the risk of his triggers.

No one will understand the grief and hurt from a situation like this unless they’ve been through it themselves, but you can show empathy and support by donating and helping us take care of Tyra’s bills and rent while she recovers and can go back to living her life in full.
