<div>As most of you know, <strong>Tyler was involved in a hit and run on July 20th, 2024.</strong>
</div>
<div>If you don't know, he was struck by another vehicle outside of his car that sent his body flying away from his car and into the road, and he was left laying there as the driver who was responsible left the scene. Tyler was ambulanced to St. Mary's Trauma Hospital and underwent emergency surgery for his mangled leg in efforts to save his foot, which was followed by four more surgeries. He had rods put in his leg due to the breaks in his femur, tibia, fibula, and had hardware put in his ankle, along with a dislocated knee, torn tendons and ligaments, a broken heel, broken ribs, etc.

<div>After making tremendous progress at physical therapy and months of rebuilding his leg and muscles, we were informed a few days ago at an orthopedic appointment that his femur is not healing properly. In fact, it hasn’t healed at all. It's been six months since the accident, and his surgeon, for the past couple of months, has had him try an ultrasound bone stimulator, hoping that would help, and has been keeping an eye on it with several follow-up appointments. Unfortunately, it has not helped. Tyler's femur still isn’t healing as it should. Despite his courage and determination, the bone has not mended properly, leaving him in pain and unable to move forward with his life. <strong>Now, Tyler faces the daunting need for yet another surgery—a critical procedure that will restart his healing journey and finally set him on the path to recovery.</strong> They essentially need to remove the rod that is in his leg now, pack bone in where the break area is, and place a bigger rod in its place, along with removing hardware in his ankle that is backing out of the spot it's in. This journey has been physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting. <strong>The costs of this surgery, along with follow-up care, therapy, and medical bills, are more than he can handle.</strong> We’re reaching out to ask for your kindness and support to help Tyler get the care he desperately needs. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping Tyler heal and regain his strength.
