Help Tyler Alexander Fight Burkitt’s Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
Hi, my name is Matthew Alexander, and I’m fundraising for my son, Tyler Alexander, a brave 22-year-old who has been recently diagnosed with Burkitt’s Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma — an extremely aggressive and fast-growing cancer.
This diagnosis came as a complete shock. One day it was a small lump in his neck following strep throat, and the next, we were sitting across from doctors hearing the word "cancer." Burkitt’s Lymphoma is rare, and it progresses quickly, which means Tyler had to start intensive chemotherapy almost immediately.
Despite the fear, pain, and uncertainty, Tyler is fighting every single day with a strength that humbles us all.
Why We Need Your Help
The financial strain of this fight is immense. Between hospital stays, chemotherapy, medications, travel to and from The University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, and the loss of income due to missed work, our family is facing mounting bills on top of the emotional and physical toll this has taken.
We are asking for your help to raise $15,000 to cover:
- Medical expenses not covered by insurance
- Travel and accommodation for treatment
- Lost wages
- Post-treatment recovery and follow-up care
- Basic living expenses during this battle
As a family, we are still adjusting to the tragic and unexpected suicide loss of our 15 year old son, Aiden. Every dollar donated helps lighten the load we are facing. It enables us to focus on healing instead of finances. Even if you’re not able to give, sharing this campaign with your network can make an incredible difference.
Tyler’s Spirit Through it all
Tyler has shown extraordinary courage. He loves helping people during their time of need as an Emergency Room Tech at both UPMC in Harrisburg, PA and at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. In addition he enjoys spending time with family and friends and loving on his dog, Bentley. Tyler has dreams of returning back to school and becoming a nurse.
This is a fight he didn’t choose, but it’s one we are determined not to fight alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, prayers, and support.
