Help Tucker with Rehabilitation at Craig Hospital

After a severe brain injury due to AVM, 26 yr old Tucker Mitchell has been fighting for his life since October 2021. He has been in a coma, “locked in” syndrome (fully normal thinking Tucker trapped in a body that does not move), to now being able to communicate yes & no, hold his head up, breathe on his own, swallow Ice chips & smoothie, and slowly move his hands & feet again all thanks to his incredible determination, good spirit, therapy, and prayers/support from YOU!! The brain is the slowest organ to heal but Tucker is well on his way!! His last step in rehabilitation is at CRAIG Hospital in Colorado! Insurance will cover half of his stay but the other half is out of pocket and due in just 60 days. We are so so grateful for every donation & sharing this page!

Tucker had severe ICH (brain hemorrhage) they put a drain in his head to get the fluid out and imaging revealed that he had an abnormal AVM (aerterovenous malformation) the doctor said it’s an abnormal presentation of this and will just call it a venous malformation near his brain stem. It is basically an extra bundle of veins that don’t feed to anywhere in his brain, they just sit there. He has had this in his brain since he was born and has never known about it. The doctor said it’s very very rare and it is considered something that for a baby is not compatible with human life. He is a miracle that he survived as a baby!
