Tristan Thonon stolen car fund

Tristan Thonon is 18 years old and just graduated from technical college with certification in welding on December 1, 2017. He was not only one of the top students in his class, but also the youngest. This past spring he was chosen out of his class to give a demonstration at a community college and was even given a $600 welding helmet as recognition for his hard work. His work ethics and talents have started to pave the way to a successful career in welding. Earlier this year, he received a reliable, used car for his 18th birthday. His father and I were able to pay for a few car repairs and winter tires to ensure that he would be safe on the road. Two days after he completed his welding program, he went to an interview with a company in St Jean that is 30 miles from his home in Farnham, Quebec. He was hired on the spot and started the following week. His first week went great. He liked his new job and co-workers. He met the owner of the company who welcomed him to the team. Even with a car (there is no public transit), he needs to use county roads until he reaches St Jean and take two different highways. A car is must. On the morning of December 19,   he went to get his car to drive to work and he discovered his car and everything in it had been stolen. His work boots that he had left in his car the day after work on Monday were gone too. He now has no way to get to his new job and without the boots that are necessary to protect his feet, he truly felt the anguish and pain of the crime that had been committed against him. To make matters worse, it happened just before Christmas. His company closes it doors during the holidays and he was looking forward to being able to drive into town to spend time with his family and friends. Tristan is my son and, as any parent will tell you, it is hard when our children have been hurt. To see his spirit crushed when life was looking so positive has been painful for us too. I decided to open a GoFundMe to help raise funds to help him replace his stolen car. My wish is that he will know that there is kindness in the world and that good things happen too . Please help him get back on his way again to a better beginning. Thank you.
