Once, Triple Threat Theatre thrived with over 30 junior and teen students performing in two musical productions annually on Staten Island. Now we are a small group of 10, under the direction of Dee Kanevsky and direction/musical direction of alumni Mariah Elle Kane, getting ready for our spring 2025 production.
After losing our rehearsal and performance space of twelve years, we are grateful to have found a fantastic new location, but it comes at an expense. With such a small group we can just about afford the rent, and the MTI licensing rights to the musical, but we can no longer afford a pianist for live accompaniment or a sound company with individual wireless mic packs.
Cue the opportunity for teamwork! We are asking for your help to raise the funds again this year. But, not to rent microphones! To purchase mics and sound equipment!!!
Rental costs have increased and now start at $3500 to rent mics for one musical production and can run close to $5000! Over the last 18 years, TTT has spent close to $50k renting mics and sound systems. It's time to own!!!
Then we will only have to hire professionals to run the sound for multiple tech week rehearsals and performances. This is your chance to make a long-term investment in the future of youth musical theatre. You won't just be helping our current performers; you'll be helping future performers as well.
This year's TTT cast is diligently rehearsing to bring you a fabulous fall showcase and spring performance. You can help their beautiful voices be heard!
Every little bit helps; you need not donate much. Make your coffee at home and donate the cost of that latte ($5) or go big and make dinner at home and donate the difference saved if you had gone out for a meal.
