Help Trevor & Jenine Gavel Fight

My name is April McNair, and Trevor (aka Treasure) & his wife Jenine Gavel are my friends. I have been witness for the last 2 1/2 years to the fight they have endured since Trevor was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer, it has been heartwrenching and has become more then they can handle. THEY NEED HELP!!! The following is detailed dates and information since the beginning: Trevor was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer April 23rd 2015, started chemo in May 2015 (12 weeks of chemo ), following these treatments he had surgery (Radical Systectomy), they removed his Bladder and Prostate on September 15, 2015. On March 9 2017, Trevor had his left lung removed due to Metastatic Cancer. In the meantime he has tried Chaga Tea, high dose IV Vitamin C treatments and Mistletoe Injections under the direction of a Naturopath Doctor. Once again we were all hopeful that the road to recovery was here, however, Trevor endured a debilitating seizure on August 1st 2017. This was not in anyway a seizure that any of us had ever witnessed let alone knew was possible. It was as if he was blind, he did not lay on the floor and seize, he was on his feet banging into walls, screaming, he was not aware of anything ( it was scary and his wife Jenine and her 77 year old mother "Dolly" were traumatized) In the commotion of this seizure Dolly was knocked over and suffered a broken hip. Dr's discovered Trevor had a Brain Tumor, thankfully he was able to have surgery to remove the tumor on August 7th. Trevor was sent home for a bit with meds, (anti seizure, as a precaution) 3 days after he finished the medication, as per directed by the Doctor, Trevor had another seizure on Sept 11th. He has been put back on the seizure medications and has had 5 radiation treatments on his brain. Trevor is home now with homecare which is very expensive and awaiting more radiation treatments on his chest and kidney where yet more cancer has been found. This man has had nothing but bad news every 3 months with every scan over the last 2 1/2years. Trevor is 45 years old and wants nothing more then to "LIVE"!!! He is a fighter and has defied the odds time and time again. He has worked as a steel framer for 25 years and has been an amazing husband and son in law. Jenine' s mom Dolly is now with them full time due to her hip replacement and they have been provided with Gov't funded home care for a few hours each week, the rest of the hours are through his private insurance plan, unfortunately, after almost 4 weeks they received a letter stating this homecare has been denied and Trevor and Jenine received a HUGE bill they are responsible to pay. As we all know, being a "middle" class citizen in Canada does not afford us the luxury of becoming ill. Jenine has been handling all of this with strength and determination, but as mentioned above has been traumatized by these events and especially as of late, the 2 seizures. I fear now for her health and well being as well as Trevors. This family deserves a helping hand. PLEASE FIND IT IN YOUR HEART TO DONATE A FEW DOLLARS TO HELP THEM KEEP FIGHTING WITHOUT THE ADDED STRESS OF LOSING THEIR HOME AND NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY THEIR BILLS.
