Help translating grace books from English to Urdu

Hi, my name is Jim Floyd and I am raising money to assist with the translation of 8000+ pages of text from English to Urdu. The goal is to provide grace oriented materials to teach prospective national pastors that will minister in countries such as Pakistan. Once the materials are converted to Urdu, they will be made part of Grace Online Bible School which will specialize in ministering to Urdu speaking people. Urdu is a living language which, according to estimates, is spoken by close to 100 million people around the world. A traditional Bible school is not an option in Pakistan but online studies are possible.

 

Pakistan is in grave need for the clear gospel message. There is a need for training pastors that want to serve but have next to no materials to learn from. Most things available are the standard Christian book store variety of false teachings. Pakistan has been hit hard by Covid and they face problems with their economy and inflation. Cults and charismatics seek to fill the void of those disillusioned by the majority religion.

 

Funds are needed primarily for translation work and paying typists that specialize in Urdu typing. I have a contact that is spearheading this endeavor but due to government and religious persecution in Pakistan, he cannot be publicly named. Due to the situation, it is not easy for him to raise support without drawing unwelcome attention. He does not have the ability to travel about to US to gather support. $25000 is the estimate needed to complete the translation project.

 

The need could not be more urgent in terms of the cause of the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ in Pakistan. Now is the time to give the people better options. All of the money raised will go directly to the translation and typing work. We have already seen the blessing from some of the books that have already been translated.

 

Some of the books will be: The Gospel by Ron Shea, Free and Clear by R. Larry Moyer, Handbook of Personal Evangelism by Dr. A. Ray Stanford and Simply by Grace by Dr. Charlie Bing.
