My name is Farrah - proud #TransWoman & Trans artist, Latinx, disabled writer/poet from HTX. I’m 28 & it took some time for me to feel comfortable in my body and trans identity, despite the trauma+phobia embedded into my entire existence. I’m in a constant state of healing. I suffer from chronic pain along with other issues pertaining my body. This illness has plagued me the latter years of my 20s and has halted me from pursuing a journey into hormones. I’m not calling this a transition; I’ve always felt like a woman in my body and without hormones I will still be one. Despite my disability, my unending chronic pain, all of the things that could stop me—Ive decided that I want the rest of my life to look a particular way and that involves taking hormones. I’ve made a decision to start the journey of taking HRT. If you’ve been a part of this journey, you know I have never had an interest in hormones until 2019. I had a plan to start the process at the beginning of the year but delayed it due to my safety. After thinking it over I’m going to begin the journey still in 2020 and will start a gofundme for HRT treatments/appointments and other possible medical procedures that may arise. I’m going to post more info about it soon! I’m very excited about this. I have been keeping it private until things seemed in place and now they finally do.
