Help Tracy in her fight!

Donation protected
In the summer of 2016, Tracy had some health complications while on a family vacation, visiting her sister and nephew in British Columbia. This resulted in a procedure that shockingly lead doctors to discover she had cancer.  This diagnosis was unbelievable to Tracy, her family, co-workers and friends. Tracy was a healthy mom with two young kids, who went to work each day. As a woman in her 30s, she lead a life most can relate to— running to soccer games, preparing meals and summer plans, splashing around in the pool with her kids and enjoying the little things life bring our way. The last two years have been trying for all. Tracy has made some progress and then experienced setbacks. With every positive note, two backwards steps followed. This was not the life envisioned for her and her family. In spite of everything, Tracy has remained strong and fighting this disease with every ounce of her being. After many rounds of chemotherapy, Tracy's doctors believe they may have found the right treatments for the cancer she is battling.  However, this discovery has also brought about another setback. Despite ongoing employment and contributions, OHIP and  private workplace insurance will not cover the high cost of these medications for various reasons out of everyone's control. As as a result,  family is left navigating a difficult system with little hope.  They are having to pay close to five thousand dollars every two weeks for the medication Tracy requires. Doctor's believe the treatment plan they have outlined will give Tracy a real chance to beat her cancer. Tracy’s children need their mother healthy. Her parents, siblings and extended family need to see her fight without worrying about costs. Her co-workers look forward to her return to work. Finally, Tracy needs to look back on this fight as a memory and obstacle she has overcome in the years that follow.    Recognizing that the the holiday season is a difficult time for all, we appreciate any support more than can be acknowledged. We want to see Tracy spend quality time with her family and move into 2018 stronger than ever.  Please support us in our fight to help Tracy. From there, she can continue her fight in the real battle, without the interference of financial concerns.
