Help Tré Scott Master His Craft @Yale

What’s poppin with the population, My name is Tré Scott to most of you, Vintre to some of you and I am an artist in the overall sense, an actor, poet, producer, activist, director, rapper, even wounded salsa dancer for the right price. What I think all these things have in common they are all rooted in storytelling, at my core I am a storyteller. The main medium I have chosen to source story through is that of acting, and through pure blessing the craft has chosen me back, and in so many ways. One of the ways is it has done that is, my recent admission to the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, where I will be pursuing my Masters in Fine Arts (ITS UP). My decision to continue my education comes from many places. First, would probably be that I feel like there are many things I simply and concisely cannot articulate to others how I do the things I do craft wise, I’m seeking to expand my vocabulary, so that I may give it away. This brings me to my next reason, I would love to be able to take all the game I have picked up and pass the knowledge that I will gain to folks around me, and the folks of my community where access at a higher level is extremely limited. You do not need a masters to pass knowledge but in many cases they do give you keys to open doors for others. I have found so much of myself through acting, acquired so many skills, connected to so many people, and been able to expand my bubble so much wider than I literally could have ever imagined and if I could give access to the possibilities of this to someone else, especially someone else that looks like me, coming from the same cloth as me, I would know I did something while I was on this big ass rock. Yale I believe gets me steps closer to giving back the way I think I’m meant to, to sharing the story like I’m meant to, and though Yale’s tuition is covered there is sooooo much in this world that’s not free. With that said this is very much an out of character ask for me and extremely vulnerable to say that financially I could use a lift, but at this point in my life I’m letting that be okay and I believe I have earned the right to ask for help where it can be used. So I’m asking for the help of my folks, so I can give back to my folks.

This money will go toward making my transition moving across the country smoother and take the weight of uncertainty away when it comes to how much I will have to figure out financially living day to day as we don’t have time to work during the program.

I’ve made something out of nothing my entire life, so maybe with a little something I could make a bit more.
