Help Torri Overcome Life's Unexpected Challenges

Hello friends and family! In a time of immense need and hardship all around us, we appreciate you taking the time to stop and engage with this important ask today: Beloved Bay Area community staple, culture worker, and radio DJ, Torri could really use our help after a series of unexpected life-blows have put her in a precarious situation.

This past week, while in the midst of grieving her treasured Grandfather, who was her best friend, Torri had to leave a new job due to irreconcilable conflicts with the individual she worked under. This was devastating on many levels, as she had left a stable government job in favor of a small firm that she thought was aligned with her principles and long-term goals, but ended up being far from this ideal.

Because of the short time spent at the most recent job, Torri is likely ineligible for unemployment benefits. Unfortunately, the bills don’t wait for us, so it’s up to the community to help provide some cushion to allow Torri to search for new work.

We are asking for funds to cover bills, rent, and survival costs during the time it will take to land new employment and begin to see income.

In addition to urgent financial assistance, any leads on jobs or gigs for Torri would be much appreciated. Long-term career goals are in accounting and bookkeeping, but she would welcome roles in customer service, personal assistant work, bars, service, etc.
