Help Autistic Student get a Service Dog

Hello, my name is Tori and I am a 21-year-old autistic college student trying to raise money for an autism service dog.

     I am professionally diagnosed with ADHD, Autism, Generalized Anxiety disorder, and cPTSD. All of these things have led to it being very difficult transitioning to adult life on my own. I am in college and having a service dog would give me back my freedom and autonomy again. I would no longer have to ask strangers for help, and I would be able to navigate public spaces with confidence. 

     $13000 of this money would go towards getting a service dog from Out of this World Service Dog training (website linked here soon), and the rest would go towards buying the essential items to care for my service dog (approx. $1-2k) and ensure they have access to proper veterinary care in case of any emergencies($3k+ anything leftover). 

A service dog would help me by being trained to do tasks such as:
-Bringing me my medication and/or phone during a crisis
-Get help and/or rouse me if I become dissociated or catatonic
-Help me keep a routine and take medications on time
-Provide deep pressure therapy
-Help me cope with emotional and sensory overload through tactile stimulation
-Provide crowd control in public spaces to keep me from getting overwhelmed when I cannot communicate
-Keep me safe on public transit and campus

     I am currently having a really difficult time navigating college and classes on my own and this service dog could be the difference between me graduating and achieving my dreams of being an engineer, and having to drop out to take care of my health. I am currently on supplemental Medicaid and lost my job a the beginning of this year. I have applied for help from a caseworker and disability management services through my university but have been indefinitely waitlisted.

     My lifelong dream has been to become a Mechanical engineer and be able to rejoin the honor's program at my school after a year-long hiatus. Hopefully, with a service dog, I could also rejoin the workforce and start paying off my college debt and funding my education during my studies.
