Hi, my name is Justin, and I have just got this rescue dog named Tootsie from my brother Earl. He told me that it seemed like someone had been abusing her physically. Maybe a month had passed by, and she started losing functionality in her back legs and was off balance after I came home one day. It absolutely broke my heart.

My family and I went to the vet, and the vet told me she had IVD, which is a disease that affects the spinal cord working in tandem with her brain. The veterinarian gave me some medication for her to help with her pain. She also recommended keeping her bedridden for 2 weeks until her next appointment. She told us that she would recommend surgery for Tootsie so she can walk again, which would be around 8 to 10,000 dollars.

I honestly don't know what else to say, but it just hurts so much seeing my baby, who was so energetic and so happy, being bedridden and needing help with just eating food and being sad because she can't get out of bed anymore.
