Help Tonya (Tawnie) & Trevor Overcome Health and Hardship
Donation protected
Those of you that know me either as Tonya or as Tawnie know that I am a proud woman, and Trevor is a proud man, and this post hurts.
When I got sick in 2021, Covid attacked my heart and other parts of my body to the point that I could no longer walk and am currently bedridden to the point that I am not able to transfer to a wheelchair. I was able to graduate from Bethel University but am still heartbroken that I was unable to attend the graduation that I had worked so hard towards for four long years.
Through being in the hospital more than out of it in the last 3 years, the countless ambulance runs, having to not fill my medications because we can't afford them, and so much more, we have been teetering on losing it all for a little bit now.
Today, Trevor was in a wreck and just like everything else, yes, he has insurance but we have a high deductible. Our beloved Di Di is on her way now to Jackson to take him to the ER as the impact was so forceful, all of the airbags deployed throughout the whole car. Yes, it has been the only thing to finally take our Big Gravy to the mat. Life may try to count 10 on him, but it won't keep him down. I need my caregiver and my best friend to be ok.
I just do not know what to do but to finally break down and do the one thing I swore we would never do, beg. I know times are hard and we have tried to help many of you in any and all ways when we could. It doesn't matter if it is just $5, please help.
I have a surgery journey that begins November 11th that promises to help me walk again. If you can help and give, and you would like us to pay you back, put it on your donation and I will give every ounce of blood, sweat, and tears to do so.
If you can't give, could you please share this out and keep us in your prayers. Remember our motto: "You gotta be a blessing to get a blessing."
