<div>A lot of you know about Tonks and Mika, my first two dogs and babies, possibly having cancer. I hate that we’re here, and I hate even more that we’re even going through this. “Desperate people do desperate things”, well I’m desperate. 

</div>

<div>At the end of summer we brought Tonks to the vet for one thing, left being told she has two large masses in her spleen, that they’re pushing into her liver that is enlarged, and that is pushing into her lungs. 

</div>

<div>A week ago we brought Mika in to figure out why her stomach had gotten so sensitive, left being told she has a hemorrhagic mass (blood in it) on her spleen. 

</div>

<div>A very long story as short as possible, Mika was seen by a specialist, and we were told the lining of her intestines is thick, her adrenal glands are very small, and the tumor is bleeding into her abdominal cavity as well. She is at a higher risk of the tumor rupturing and her bleeding out, and the bleeding increases the likelihood of it being cancerous from 66% to 85%. But with her small adrenal glands she may have Addison’s, and we can’t remover her spleen until it’s treated. Never mind we haven’t been able to do further testing on Tonks yet since Mika is declining faster. Either way, for both girls, and at this time especially Mika, removing their spleens will take the risk of bleeding out internally off the table. It’s also the only way we will know if their masses are hemangiosarcoma or not bc pathology is the only way to find out. To be 100% transparent, if it is cancer, removing their spleens won’t stop it. This type of cancer is a death sentence. But again, we take the risk of bleeding out off the table, and can plan the rest of their time with us a lot better and keep them comfortable as possible however they need. Even if it isn’t cancer, the spleen is a blood rich organ and a benign mass could still rupture and kill them, so their spleens HAVE to come out.

<div>One splenectomy is average $3,500. I do not expect to reach our goal, we are doing what we can to save money and make it work. But time is not on our side. I also have a Cricut and will be making keychains and Tshirts to sell, and a lot of you know JJ is an artist and is open to commissions (art takes a long time to produce though, so we don’t know how that will play out). But if by chance anyone has even $1 to spare, we will be forever grateful. We will show proof of care if anyone requests as well. Thank you all for even reading. Pray for our babies.
