Help Toes the Abandoned Cat Get Emergency Surgery

Hi, my name is Carrie, and I'm raising money to get a very sweet abandoned cat an ememergency dental surgery. She is unable to eat, and needs to have all of her teeth removed.

Toes is about 10 years old. I named her Toes because she is polydactyl, she has 2 extra toes on each of her front feet. It looks like she has thumbs!!! Her family moved away a year ago and left her behind. I brought her home with me on Wednesday 2/22/23. I knew from the smell that her mouth needed attention. I took her to a local vet the next day. They did all of the usual check-up things, and said that she had severe dental disease. She needed to have most, if not all of her teeth removed. They gave me an estimate starting at $1,415.42 and possibly as high as $2,056.42. I knew that I couldn't afford it. I had decided to euthanize her. I thought that I'd bring her home, love her up for a week, and then take her back in.

Toes turned out to be a wonderful, amazing, very sweet girl. She was purring all the time. She slept next to me every night. I fell hard for this little being that had been thrown away.

Sadly, on the 5th day that she was with me, she quit eating, and hid under my bed. Not at all the sweet girl I'd spent time with. I took her to the emergency vet. Her bloodwork was good, but her pain had increased and I needed to decide if I would let her go, or get her the surgery. My head and heart were at war. She isn't ready to leave yet, so I've decided to go ahead with the surgery if we can raise enough money.
