Help keep Mo Gelato, one of the best gelateria in the city alive until our customers can return!
A big special THANK YOU for helping us through this difficult time from all the staff Mo gelato store on 178 Mulberry Street 10012 NY.
Over 10 years ago a couple of Italian friends opened Mo Gelato in Little Italy, New York City.
From that day the goal has always been to allow New Yorkers and tourists from all over the world to experience a little bit of Italy by providing them with authentic homemade artisan gelato and warm Italian hospitality.
The happiness of our customers and their appreciation of our products has always given us the ability to succeed in a city as vibrant and competitive as New York.
We have survived difficult times and hard winters for many years knowing that summer would come and we would be able to bring many smiles to our beautiful customers once again.
But then covid-19 arrived and attacked our city like never before. Seeing the city lose innocent lives touched our hearts and in our small way we wanted to support healthcare and essential workers who risk their lives every day.We brought smiles to 50 nurses of Lenox Hill Hospital, 75 FDNY EMD employees in Bronx, 60 doctors and nurses in Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn and offering coffee and cappuccino to every essential worker passing by our store.
During covid-19 we were confident that everything would end soon and that we would make it because New York is tough, smart, united and loving.
However, we are already in June in the height of summer and the situation is still very difficult for many small businesses like ourselves located in our totally deserted Little Italy neighborhood.
Our bills have accumulated week after week and our staff needs our support.
Now our survival is in doubt and we risk closing definitely by the end of July.
We are in this awesome platform to ask for your support and hope that you can help us to continue to be a part of the diverse community that makes New York one of the most unique cities in the world.
The fund will help us out to pay the rent and all the bills and utilities related to the store but especially to have back our special staff
( Giorgio, Carlo, Rafi, Toni, Ida, Kati, Anna, Dea ) so they can support them self and their families .
