<div>Jamie’s Journey – Update as of June 26, 2025

<div>Jamie was admitted to the ICU on March 20 with what we thought was a simple case of pneumonia. We expected him to be home in a few days, but things quickly took a turn. After battling influenza A the week before, he developed bacterial pneumonia, which progressed to sepsis and then septic shock. He spent days on a ventilator and dialysis, fighting for his life.

<div>Today marks day 99 of this journey.
</div>

</div>
<div>Thanks to incredible medical care and the grace of God, Jamie is no longer on a ventilator, but he continues to face serious complications. Test results later revealed he had both Legionella and Streptococcus, which led to the septic shock and the devastating tissue damage in his hands and feet.
</div>

</div>
<div>Medical Updates:
</div>
<div>•	April 3: Jamie was stable enough to be transferred to the Cleveland Clinic. Doctors there began evaluating the extent of tissue damage and the potential need for amputations.
</div>
<div>•	April 10: The chest tube was removed, and Jamie began eating solid foods again. He started physical therapy and completed his antibiotics, finally free of the infections.
</div>
<div>•	April 22: Jamie was transferred closer to home to Aultman Specialty Select for rehab. Still unable to go home while on dialysis.
</div>
<div>•	May 14: Jamie was discharged from Aultman to continue his recovery at home with wound care support.
</div>
<div>•	May 27: He met with his vascular surgeon and was scheduled for bilateral below-the-knee amputations on June 19.
</div>
<div>•	June 19: Jamie underwent surgery to remove both legs below the knee. The procedure went well, and he is now recovering and in good spirits.
</div>
<div>•	June 26: Today, Jamie is being transferred to Aultman Woodlawn Rehabilitation. He still faces hand amputations (date TBD) and will also need heart surgery once he’s healed from the amputations.

<div>Throughout all of this, Jamie Jo has been by his side, advocating, caring, and carrying the emotional weight for their family. She’s applied for disability benefits on his behalf, but that process takes time—and the needs are immediate.
</div>

</div>
<div>This has been a life-altering ordeal. The journey ahead includes multiple surgeries, ongoing rehab, fitting for prosthetics, and eventually heart surgery. Jamie is showing incredible resilience, but they can’t do it alone.
