TJ's Medical Expenses

TJ is our 6 year old american pitbull that is in need of help. TJ is our family dog. He shares a birthday with my little brother, Mikey, and he always calls TJ his brother. He is truly the missing piece to our family. TJ is an active dog, loves to cuddle, play and run until his heart's content which has always brought a simile to anyone who met him; however, this might all change.
On September 1, I noticed something was wrong with him. He wasn't himself, he stayed still, not bringing his head up or moving a muscle. He refused to move, even for food which was so strange. My family and I then noticed when he was trying to stand up to use the restroom. When he attempted to get up on all fours, he fumbled and fell as if he never been on his paws. He tried again and kept slipping and falling. For me, to see my best friend hurt himself and struggling so much, broke my heart and everyone else's around me. It was then we rushed to the ER.
They did multiple tests on him:
~ ultra sounds
~ 3 x-rays
~blood pressure doppler
~ VetScan
After all of this, they told my family and I that TJ may have a ruptured disk in his spine that is protruding on the spinal canal. This is called Intervertebral Disk Disease or IVDD. The doctors said that if we wait too long, he may become paralysed in his hind legs. TJ would need a MRI so that the surgeons will know exactly where to perform his surgery. The MRI will cost anywhere between $2,000-$3,000 and his surgery will be between $8,000-$10,000. We don't want to see TJ struggle and miss out on the things that he loves to do. This price is extremely difficult for my family and I to pay, so any donation will help tremendously. We will be grateful with whatever is provided.
