<div>Over the past two years, my sister, Tisha Booth, has endured an incredibly challenging and heartbreaking journey. Once weighing 300 lbs, she now weighs just 97 lbs—not by choice, but because her body refused to keep food down. Days without eating turned into weeks of searching for answers as we watched her grow weaker and more frail.

<div>Doctors discovered that her stomach canal had closed so tightly that food couldn’t pass through. Last year, they installed a temporary stent in hopes of opening the passage and preventing further damage. But the procedure failed, and Tisha continued to decline.

<div>Eventually, doctors traced the problem back to a gastric bypass surgery she had 20 years ago. The bypass had caused a blockage, and last month, doctors performed one of the most complex and high-risk procedures in the world: reversing the bypass. During the surgery, they also discovered and repaired a twisted intestine that had gone undiagnosed for years.

<div>We’re hopeful this will finally bring Tisha the relief she desperately needs. For the first time in years, she is able to hold down food, but her recovery is far from over.

<div>Tisha has been in the hospital multiple times this year, with several visits lasting more than a week. These hospitalizations, along with her ongoing medical care, have left her with overwhelming expenses. She has lost her car due to mounting bills, and though a recent storm caused her heat to fail, she isn’t able to afford the repair costs.

<div>Her medical bills continue to multiple as well. Tisha needs special nutritional drinks to regain weight and nutrients. These drinks are incredibly expensive, but essential to her survival.

<div>Tisha’s nurse urged how important rest was right now, and suggested we create this fundraiser to ease the financial strain, allow her to fully focus on healing. By donating, you’ll help cover the cost of her medical bills, essential nutritional drinks, return visits, and other recovery needs, lifting an enormous burden from her shoulders. Every contribution will make a difference and allow Tisha the time and peace she needs to regain her strength and rebuild her life.
