My name is Chloe. About three months ago, while driving on the highway near my home, I felt a deep pull in my spirit,as if God was highlighting a specific young man to me. I’ve seen many people experiencing homelessness, but something about this man stood out. I knew I was meant to meet him.

After several unsuccessful attempts to connect due to the location he was staying in, I was finally able to meet him. And when I say that I’ve never met a man with such love, acceptance, and wisdom,I truly mean it. His name is Timothy.

Timothy is in his mid-30s and has been living on the streets for some time, yet he carries himself with a strength and faith that is deeply humbling. Despite his circumstances, he never complains. He’s eager to work when possible, despite ongoing medical challenges, and consistently puts others before himself. He asks those around him if they need anything even when he has little to give.

Timothy walks with difficulty due to a medical condition he’s had since childhood. After undergoing several procedures on his legs, he was later struck by a car, further worsening his condition. And still, his heart remains pure. He radiates humility, leadership, boldness, love, and honesty. He’s someone the world can truly learn from.

He once lived a relatively stable life in an apartment, but when his benefits were unexpectedly cut, he was left with no choice but to live on the streets. He doesn’t use drugs or alcohol to numb his pain. Instead, he continues to press forward every day, fully trusting that God will provide.

A few weeks after our first meeting, my friends and I went to visit him again. We spent time talking, and once again, Timothy poured out powerful words of wisdom, encouragement, and faith. He spoke life into us in a way that left a lasting impact. We were all deeply moved.

That’s when we knew we had to do something.

Together, we came up with a plan to help Timothy by launching a GoFundMe campaign. Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help him get back on his feet—whether that means securing housing, accessing medical care, or having the basic resources he needs to live with dignity.
