Help Timi Ogundipe Recover after surgery

As some of you may already know, on the evening of May 1st, I was in a motorcycle accident. In the accident, I lost traction approaching a light, slid into an intersection and got T boned by a car, causing me to break both legs. I’m grateful the accident wasn’t more severe and thankful the other driver is not seriously injured. 

 

I underwent surgery to repair my tibia and fibulas, implanting titanium rods into both legs. Losing the ability to walk for approximately three months, I’ll be relying on a wheelchair to move around but mainly I am on bed rest and can’t bear any weight. 

 

The recovery period will keep me out work for the next 3 months, a challenge for my family which just grew with the addition of my daughter in February. I feel fortunate to have healthcare but this week I also learned my insurance is only approving the minimum in rehabilitative care. I’m keeping positive and excited to spend more time with my newborn daughter, but I want to make sure my medical debt and recovery costs don’t impact my ability to provide for her during her first year.

 

The next few months will have physical challenges and a financial hurdle so I’m making this Gofundme in the hopes that a little generosity might offset some loses. Maybe with some support, you can help me and my family literally get back on our feet.
