<div>My name is Tim Matthews. I’m a self-employed small business owner from Old Hickory, a seventh-generation Tennessean, diehard Nashvillian, and proud local historian. For over a year, my 2017 Freightliner Straight Truck was the engine of my livelihood—serving customers, supporting my disabled wife, and helping me build something meaningful in the community I love.

<div>But on October 1st, 2025, everything changed.

<div>After a minor mechanical issue, I trusted a towing company—Priority Wrecker Service of Tennessee, Inc., based in Woodbine—to help me get back on the road. What followed was a nightmare of predatory fees, deceptive practices, and incomplete repairs that have left me broke, stranded, and heartbroken.

<div>### What Happened:

</div>

<div>- I was quoted $525/hour for a short 5.3-mile tow, told it would be “an hour.” Instead, I was charged $1,240.

</div>

<div>- They refused debit or credit, demanded cash or cash apps, and threatened to seize my truck within 30 minutes if I didn’t comply.

</div>

<div>- Their own receipt shows they charged heavy-duty rates for my medium-duty truck—violating their own pricing structure.

</div>

<div>- They delayed diagnostics for over a week, then quoted $5,290 for repairs I now believe were overpriced and incomplete.

</div>

<div>- After paying nearly $7,000, my truck is still disabled—barely drivable, stuck in limp mode, and unusable for work.

</div>

<div>I later discovered that Priority Wrecker has no towing permit in Davidson County—one of the few counties that requires one. A news report by WTVF’s Jennifer Kraus confirms I’m not alone. Others have been hurt too.

<div>### Why I’m Asking for Help:

<div>I’ve exhausted my savings. I’ve borrowed from family. I’ve pulled my 2002 Chevy Astrovan with nearly 500,000 miles out of retirement just to keep serving my customers. But I’m falling behind. Without serious help, I’ll lose the truck—and everything I’ve built.
