Help Tim keep the cats on the road!

I am President and General Manager of SAFE Rehoming, an animal welfare charity, based in Northern Sydney, Australia. Since the chairty was founded we have rehomed over 1500 pets. While I am not all that comfortable asking for money another volunteer has suggested that there may be people who understand my situation and the consequences of not having a car to use for the charity. I have not been able to save money for the last almost 8 years as I have dedicated my life to SAFE. It's a sressful time so I would greatly appreciate any help you can give, as it will be impossible for me to run the charity without a car.
My car — a 2003 Toyota Corolla — has finally given out. The transmission is gone and it may give out at any time. A mechanic has said that fixing it would cost just about the same $ as a replacement.
For most people, a broken-down car is an inconvenience but for me, a car is essential, for all sorts of reasons:
- Getting to and from SAFE
- Transporting cats to and from the vet
- For use in emergency vet situations
- Going to charity related and fundraising events and street fairs
- Transporting cats and kittens to foster homes
- and many more tasks
Can you help me stay on the road?
Do you or someone in your family have a safe, reliable car for a reasonable price?
I'm only asking because I can't continue to help the animals and the community without a car. My passsion is helping cats and dogs through SAFE and members of the community. Your donations will help me do that. Thank you.
*Please note, your money will not be going directly to SAFE, but it is indirectly vital to SAFE
