Help Tim Fight Pancreatic Cancer

Two months ago my family was hit with some pretty difficult news. My father, Timothy Crust, was diagnosed with late stage Pancreatic Cancer. While this can be devastating news to any family, it has hit us particularly hard due to our story
You see my father hasn’t had the easiest life. He and my mother, who have been married for 32 years, raised three children, myself and my two sisters. He was always there for us, whether it was moving me in to college, volunteering to teach my science class, or to run to Walmart in the middle of the night, he was always there. He has always worked hard (at times 2 jobs) but had often had to deal with great trials and tribulations. Just when it seemed that life was getting easier (my father went back to school while we were young and graduated from Penn State with two degrees) he was in a car accident that left him permanently disabled.
He kept a positive attitude which led him to the Catholic Church where he converted through the RCIA program. He often talks about his experience through his accident, his on going recovery, and how God helped him to stay positive and carry on with his life.
He is unable to work due to his injuries from the accident so this meant that my mom, who at the time was staying at home with us, had to go back to work.
Recently, due to the cancer diagnosis and my father’s ailing health, she hasn’t been able to work as often as needed. Medical expenses and bills have piled up. My parents are now at risk of losing their home
He is a grandfather to 3, my two children and my sister’s son. Soon he will be a grandfather to a fourth! My youngest sister is expecting a boy at the end of October. My father enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He says they make him smile. My father likes to teach them the same things he taught me. He gave me my love of classic rock, my knowledge of cars and handy work around the house, and my love of science. He took me to baseball games (Go Pirates!) and taught me how to fish. He taught me to chill and take it easy when things get stressful. He taught me to work hard and persevere even though life isn’t always fair. He taught me to be nice to others even if they aren’t nice to you , “hey ya gotta just smile sometimes “ he always says.
He taught me to share God even if others don’t want to listen “Have a good day. May God bless you and may Jesus smile upon you” he says to almost every person he meets. He and my mother together taught me that faith is important. My mother taught CCD religion class and my father volunteers in their church as an usher. He is a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Altoona, PA. The church and the community are very important to him so he volunteers his time whenever he is physically able to.
I realize I may lose my father a lot sooner than I want to comprehend but I am trying to stay positive and do what I can for them. I wish I could be closer to them (they live in Pennsylvania while I am in Kentucky). I am praying that they will not lose their house. They need additional support during this difficult time so that my mother can be home more often to care for my father. Any donations are whole heartedly appreciated by my entire family.
