Help Tim Carter Fight Kidney Cancer

Tim Carter is my dear father, and I owe so much to him. In July of 2017, he was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Unfortunately, it was already stage 4 cancer. This is fairly common with kidney cancer because of how isolated the kidneys are in the body, making symptoms very minimal until the cancer has progressed quite far. Over the past year, he has fought hard with many types of treatments that have not be as effective as we would have hoped.
On Monday, 8/27/2018, he suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. The cancer has made its way to his brain. He was unable to respond or speak to anyone and the doctors had basically let us know that there was very little hope for survival and continued treatment would probably be futile. On Tuesday, I said goodbye to my father, thinking I would never get to talk with him again. On Wednesday, to the confusion of the doctors, he started to wake up and was able to communicate with us. Throughout the day he was able to stay awake longer and speak more clearly. The doctors did another scan of his brain. On Thursday morning he was able to get out of bed, walk, eat, and talk to us even more. The newer scan presented some hope and now we will move forward with treatments. By Thursday evening, he was discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home.
The prayers, faith, and hope shown by so many friends, family, and loved ones have blessed him so much. We were heard by our Heavenly Father. We have experienced a miracle. We are so grateful for everyone who has prayed, hoped, and shown love for my father throughout this process so far. Your love, faith, and hope sustain us and lift us up in this difficult time.
As you can imagine, having cancer is not cheap. While we have been blessed so much up until now, I wanted to start this GoFundMe campaign for my father. If you have the means and feel inspired to contribute we would be so appreciative. If you do not have the means and could simply share the campaign with others, we would also appreciate it. Above all, if you could continue your show of faith, your prayers, your well-wishes, and your love we will be eternally grateful.
