<div>Hello! My name is Baqer, a local activist from Beirut, and I’m raising funds to help three families in South Lebanon whose homes, livelihoods, and hopes have been shattered by recent indiscriminate bombing. Before the war, the village of Hadatha relied on three local families who housed 6 cows that provided the community with fresh and organic milk. More importantly, they provided the families with a vital source of income (around $300 per month per cow during peak seasons). But when I visited after the war was declared “over,” I was heartbroken to find their cows dead or lost, leaving these families with nothing. To make matters worse, one of the women, now without her cow, is also battling cancer.

<div>These are women-led households, and their survival depends on rebuilding what was taken from them. Your donations will directly fund the purchase of three cows ($2,500 per cow) and cover transportation, shelter, and feedcosts ($500 per cow). This will restore their livelihoods and offer them a lifeline amid the dual threats of ongoing bombardment and systemic government neglect. It is important to note that the choice to fund cows is based solely on these three family’s suggestions when asked about the kind of donation to help rebuild their lives after war. Moreover, any surplus funds will go toward in-kind donations for others displaced and affected by the war in South Lebanon’s frontline villages.
