Help Thrall's Vet Bills

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Julie. I am fundraising for my young kitty's medical bills. His name is Thrall, and he's just about a year and a half old. He is a male, neutered cat.

The other night, Thursday 12/29 he was admitted to the Emergency Vet Hospital of Tualatin at 11PM for a severe medical emergency known as a urinary obstruction. You can find information about this medical issue here: https://www.acvs.org/small-animal/urinary-obstruction-cats . Essentially, there are crystals that build up in the urine and a combination of those, as well as blood and mucus, prevent him from being able to urinate. This causes a buildup of toxins in the blood and will lead to death within one to 3 days if not treated immediately.
He was such a good boy and started howling to alert me that something was really wrong. He tried to pee on my pillow - something he's never done (well, when he was a brand new kitten he pooped on my bed once but that was an accident and was immediately rectified. Completely unrelated to this) After staying up all night and multiple calls back and forth with the vet, they diagnosed him and said that he'd need to stay in for a few days with a catheter to allow him to urinate while they try to flush his bladder out. They also told me at the time, that once this happens in cats, it is largely possible for it to happen again.

I got a call this morning 1/1 at 10am saying that the "difficult patient who didn't want to potty" ended up urinating once without the catheter, and they thought he may be too anxious to go potty at the vet so bringing him home may help him and to monitor him closely for the time being. Here are some of the very meticulous notes they kept during his stay at the hospital:

I brought him home today, and he was happy and chipper. You can see the pictures post discharge here, his little shaved legs look like they did a paw transplant or something but it's just shaving for the IV to be inserted:

Tonight at 8PM his urinary tract re-obstructed, and he had to be re-admitted to the hospital because he is unable to urinate again. This is extremely painful for him. While I was there tonight, the doctor told me that due to this recurring multiple times, he will need a surgery called a Perineal Urethrostomy to allow him to urinate. Details regarding exactly what the surgery does and how it is performed (which I will spare in this segment as they are a bit *sensitive*) can be found here: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/perineal-urethrostomy-surgery-in-cats

He is still at the hospital at this time and unable to return home in his current state. This care and the surgery that he's going to require costs thousands of dollars. Anything that anyone is able to give will go towards helping my kitty and getting him home safely. I love him so much and he is the sweetest boy, I want him to live the rest of his life happily without having to go to the hospital all the time. Thank you so much for your consideration and keeping us in your thoughts.
