Help Those in Need This Winter in NYC

Hello Everyone,
A few days ago I asked those on my social media for help getting a few things together for those in need this winter. The amount of people who reached out with a willingness to help is truly inspiring. I’m grateful to live in a world where people can come together to lend a helping hand to their fellow human.
As everyone knows, winters in the northeast are brutal. Our economic systems have failed to provide basic support, healthcare, and safety for all, especially those who are in the most need of it. Unfortunately, this isn’t a situation that can magically change overnight. But that does NOT mean, however, that we as a community can’t come together to make a difference. My goal is to show our fellow brothers and sisters, who WE often overlook, walk-by, and even ignore, that they matter. They are important. And ultimately, I want to remind them that they are loved.
To do so, I’m asking that anyone who is able and willing, to donate any USEABLE & RESPECTABLE winter clothing, blankets, and/or sleeping bags to please get in touch with me. I can schedule a safe & socially-distanced pickup if necessary. If anyone would like to contribute in a different way, I’m also setting up a GoFundMe in order to buy basic toiletries and hygiene products to help folks get through the harsh season. I’m planning on distributing ‘care packages’ toward the beginning of November to have enough time to organize accordingly.
I encourage everyone to share this message with others. I would also like to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for your attention, generosity, and kindness that you have shown and continue to demonstrate.
