Help a Syrian refugee attend uni & build a career

Hello, I'm Zaedah! I am a passionate and energetic student from Syria. Unfortunately, I had to flee my home country due to war and fear for my personal safety. I found my new home in the Lebanon seven and a half years ago, and life as I knew it changed forever. The first three years after the move to Lebanon were terrible for me because I couldn’t continue my studies and education,  as the universities in Lebanon are very expensive. New people, new life style, and I was the outsider…. It wasn’t my home, I didn’t have my friends, my books and novels… I left everything behind and I had to start a new life from the beginning.  I felt depressed, while grieving for the life I had lost and for a minute I felt like my dreams had ‘Gone with the Wind'.   The only thing that helped me to forget about what happened, was reading.  Books became my new friends , and I started to read any book I could get my hands on, just to get my brain working again. Poetry was always my favorite and since childhood, I had a talent for memorizing poems. I began to write my own poems and found this to be therapeutic. “When there is a will there is a way”- one of my favorite mottos in life. I started to build a new life for myself with my strong will. I began opening up, talking to new people and I started volunteering in a kindergarten for two years. Children with their innocent smiles and nature made my world more beautiful. It was a great experience for me but I still wanted to achieve my dreams. By chance one of my friends told me that there is an association called Spark that helps Syrian refugees to continue their studies here in Lebanon. Hope was in my heart again, I visited their website, filled an online application, and they talked to me the day after to tell me that I was accepted to their program.  No words can describe my happiness as I started to study media at Jinan university (3 years). Studying Media was a dream of mine because my biggest hope was to be a writer. Sometime later, I was also accepted to the  Business Council for Peace (Bpeace) program, where I met my mentor, Naomi, who is based in Switzerland and helping me to raise money to advance my career (she is part of the fundraising team for my campaign).  Now nearly 4 Years have passed  since I started my studies and I have received  the results of my degree. Because of my high grade, I received a masters scholarship offer to continue my studies in Media (Radio&TV) in Jinan University in Lebanon. Since refugees are not allowed to work in the Lebanon, I cannot raise the money personally, and that's why I'm crowd funding for my tuition fees & a laptop. I have a lot of dreams to realise, and I continue to build my strength, motivation and  will, to ensure they become a reality for me, but I greatly need your help and support to get there.   One day, I hope to repay your kindness and  instill my passion for literature by mentoring others, and helping them to communicate authentic media. I would greatly appreciate if you can help to support me on my journey to achieve my dreams.
