Help this little Ghetto School in Lagos, Nigeria to Survive
Donation protected
"Welcome!" from the YouTube Channel, Scambait Central. We support a little school in the ghetto of Makoko, Lagos, Nigeria. It educates over 100 of the poorest children in the area, some of whom come from families so poor that they cannot afford to pay the meagre school fees or even feed their children properly. The hardworking teachers are paid as little as $7 USD per month. Last year, we held a fundraiser Live Stream on YouTube to move this school from a tiny wooden shack with temperatures inside over 100 degrees Fahrenheit to a purpose-built building in the ghetto. This year, we want to provide enough money for the head teacher, Yemi, to pay her remaining teachers and herself a living wage, and to recruit some new teachers to replace those who left for better salaries elsewhere. I have visited the school 3 times now and in 2024, a delegation from Scambait Central travelled from UK, Europe, and USA to Lagos to see the new building and spend time with Yemi, her staff, and the pupils.
We will send every penny we receive from GoFundMe to the school bank account in Nigeria. These poor children deserve an education to help them survive and thrive in this challenging environment.
Please, give generously.
