HELP THIS FAMILY REBUILD THEIR LIFE AFTER COVID

Hector and his wife Juliana have been through so much in this past year and his recovery is nothing short of a miracle. Hector became positive for Covid-19 in September of 2020 requiring him to be intubated and receive a rare therapy called ECMO. He remained in the hospital intubated and struggling to recover.

He was discharged to Jacob Health Care Center, a skilled nursing and subacute facility, where the therapist and nurses helped him begin breathing on his own to the point that his tracheostomy was removed and he regained his prior independent functions. His wife Julianna stayed by his side throughout the months of recovery advocating for him and encouraging him to keep going. After a long road of recovery he is finally able to go home – one of only a few people in San Diego County to have recovered from such a severe set of diagnoses.

This last year was very difficult for Hector and his family. We created this GoFundMe (with permission from Hector and wife) to assist this family.
