Help This Family Keep 4 Siblings Together After Tragic Loss
On April 26th, my brother’s family was devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of their daughter, Shayla Young. At just 35 years old, Shayla passed away unexpectedly from a brain bleed, leaving behind five children and a family shattered by grief.
Shayla’s children are:
Emily (15)
Miley (11)
Joseph (9)
Daniella (3)
The remaining four children—Emily, Miley, Joseph, and Daniella—were at risk of being separated into different homes.
In an act of deep love and sacrifice, my brother Harley and his wife Dayla, who already have a teenage son and a college-age son living at home, welcomed Shayla’s children into their modest 2-bedroom mobile home. Their goal is to keep the siblings together, provide stability, and help them begin healing—but the sudden expansion of their household has brought overwhelming financial strain.
They urgently need help to:
- Expand or modify their home to fit everyone safely
- Provide beds, clothing, food, and essentials
- Cover childcare, school needs, and household expenses
This is a family doing everything they can to protect and nurture their grandchildren during an unimaginably painful time—but they can't do it alone.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Every contribution—no matter the size—can make a powerful difference in helping this family stay together and surrounded by love.
With heartfelt gratitude,
