Help Richard and Carolyn Clanton Fix their Home

I am raising money to help a dear friend and retired military wife, Carolyn and her husband, Richard. Carolyn suffers from neuropathy making it difficult for her to get around, and Richard is an awesome, selfless person who has been deployed three times to Iraq and suffers  PTSD. He has a brain injury, shoulder and back problems due to his time in the military and has been unemployed due to Covid/ They have four children who are adults or teens.

Two years ago they moved to Florida because the cooler climate was hard on Carolyn with her disease. It has helped, but their home’s roof was destroyed by a hurricane last year. When this happened they discovered it was not up to code and in order to fix it, they’d also have to bring it to code. On top of that, the company that insured their home went bankrutpt, and the Florida insurance Guarantee Commission has since denied their claim. Because there is no equity in their home, all loans have been refused. Meanwhile, things have gotten worse, and their home is leaking everywhere. They live in fear that their home will cave in on them.  

At the very LOWEST, it will cost them 12k to fix their home and that is with Richard helping.
