Ashley Manning Andrews, a fellow Delta Gamma (NC State '06), is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Sadly, Ashley and her family were deeply affected by Florence.
Ashley's given so much to her community as a social worker and school counselor. Her husband, Joseph Andrews' farm spans 3 generations. Floodwaters have destroyed crops and livestock, as well as their home.
Just this year, Ashley's mother moved to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and one-year-old grandson. Her home was also affected by Florence (and on her birthday no less!).
Throughout all of this, Ashley and her family have remained SO positive (as you can see from the Facebook posts I shared below from her page -- sorry Ashley I hope you don't mind!). This is not a surprise to her Eta Kappa sisters -- it's who we know Ashley to be at her core.
It breaks my heart to have to see such a genuinely good person go through something so terrible. I wanted to do more than just pray for her and her family, so I've set up this campaign without her knowing. I'm hoping that her Delta Gamma & NC State networks can pull through for her and give back to her, as she has given so much to so many.

Sept. 22:
“We’re not homeless, we’re car full.” And blessed, even in this disaster we are so blessed.
Sept. 18:
"Some of you may think it’s crazy to live on the same country road as your family (& some special neighbors too), but we consider it a blessing. That is, until Mother Nature displaces all of us (animals included). At this time, being dry, clean, fed, & alive is our biggest blessing. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us. We are taking it day by day for now, but having cell service again sure is nice. Prayers are greatly appreciated as we try to pick up the pieces on Stroud Rd."
