<div>We recently took in a mom and 9 puppies to ensure they would not be placed on a euthanasia list. Puppies and mom had been doing well until Monday, 1/19. One puppy vomited and then seemed okay. Last evening, 1/23, when their foster arrived home from work, one of the puppies was found unresponsive. We took the other 8 puppies to CPVets in State College, Pennsylvania, and our worst nightmare was confirmed. <strong>They tested positive for parvo.</strong> All 8 puppies are receiving the monoclonal antibody for the virus and are on supportive care, but the low-end estimate for this extremely severe virus is $25,795. The high-end cost is $44,337. We also have to take their mother to another clinic to be tested.
