Help These Puppies See Clearly

On Wednesday 12/13/17, in the dark and snow, along treacherous back roads, Jax's Labrador Rescue travelled 6.5 to a small rural community in Ohio to rescue these four yellow Labrador puppies, Holly, Christmas, Noel and Hope.
As adorable as they are, they needed rescue because they could not be sold by the breeder. Why? Well, they have a hereditary condition called entropion which came from their parents due to indiscriminate breeding. (A reputable breeder would never breed dogs known to carry the gene and their mom had previously had a litter with the same condition, a red flag.) This condition causes their eyelashes to rub against their eyes 24x7. Can you imagine what that must feel like?
After a 6.5 hour drive back to PA, these young Labs are in safe in our care and we can focus on their vetting, which will start on Monday 12/18/17. (Once their eyes are fixed, along with the normal vaccinations, they will be ready for adoption, with required spay surgery at 6 months.)
We need your help to get these lovely Labs the surgery they need to correct the turned in eyelashes. The cost is $500-$700 for each puppy. That is a lot of our small rescue BUT we could not say no to these beautiful Labs who should be able to see life clearly and without continual pain. Sadly, our recent intake of pre-Harvey dogs and other high medical costs for our dogs have depleted what funds we had and we must now request your support.
