Help Them Repay Their Travel to Safety & New Life

Imagine the courage it takes to leave behind your loved ones, language and culture and relocate to a foreign country, sight unseen. Imagine doing so with three young children during a global pandemic! Refugees are people who have been vetted and accepted by the US Government to seek refuge from persecution, war, sexual assault or murder. This brave, hard-working Sudanese family is settling into their new life in Danbury, CT; Dad was quick to find a job and Mom is busy taking intensive English classes so she can find employment as well. Newtown’s Interfaith Partnership for Refugee Resettlement (IPRR) has partnered with Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS) to welcome and support this amazing family.

We are certain that they will be a wonderful American success story and we invite you to be part of that story. Please consider helping them get a fresh start in our great country.

100% of your donation (minus the GoFundMe fee) will be used towards the family’s first year of housing expenses,  English classes. and to repay the refugee travel loan (read about this loan here
