<div>In 2004, <strong>the Yoder sisters were rejected/shunned from their Amish community in Ethridge, TN to start a new life on their own.</strong> They have faced serious health issues, very limited income, and little to no support from their former community.

<div>In 2015, the First United Methodist Church helped them with food and assisted them in signing up for food stamps. In 2021, they also helped them find shelter in a small storage shed, since their home had slowly been collapsing around them.

<div>Now, in 2025, the Seventh-Day Adventist Church family, as well as other friends and people, have come together to rebuild – tearing down the old, unsafe home and constructing a new one with electricity, indoor plumbing, and proper space to store what they harvest from their garden.

<div>So far, about $30,000 has been raised, and <strong>$25,000 more is needed to finish the home and give these kind and humble sisters a warm, safe place to live out their years with dignity.</strong>
