We are the Whitni family, and we’re raising funds after a devastating house fire. There are three abandoned houses next to ours, and recently, someone set fire to one of them. The flames quickly spread to our home. When the firefighters arrived, we had to evacuate immediately. They had to break out our windows to stop the fire from completely destroying our house.

 While we are grateful that everyone is safe, the aftermath has been overwhelming. There is water damage throughout our home, and our children’s Christmas gifts and clothes were ruined. We also lost furniture and other important belongings. The damage has left us with holes and leaks in our walls, making it difficult to feel comfortable and secure in our own home.
