To bring a video content platform to the legal cannabis community and to change perception of cannabis worldwide.
We here at TheWeedTube have been working day in and day out to bring you the platform that you deserve. Unfortunately now that YouTube has basically removed over 90% of creators our timeline to have a perfect running site is much shorter. While we have been looking around for investors to help us get to this next level we realize that TheWeedTube was started by the community, and perhaps in these times of need the community will push us to the next level.
Arend and company will be putting all of the funds to the following:
We are working closely with a top rated tech firms to bring out a 3 phase plan for TheWeedTube over the next two months. Those phases are:
1. Rebuilding the site from the ground up without WordPress. (We are currently running off of WordPress and themes. It was a suitable option for us to prove the concept and give people a temporary home. In order to bring the site to the next level of functionality this firm will rebuild the entire site to function like other social video platforms seamlessly.
2. The website video player will be developed to function more like YouTube. One of the reasons Youtube is such a fast platform no matter where you use it is because they store all the videos in multiple file types and qualities. So a video will automatically load in the easiest setting and as it's playing with buffer more HD video as it plays automatically. Killing our one main issue which is bufffering.
3.The final phase will be what everyone wants! Apps! Not just for iPhone either. This firm has ensured we can release the new site along with apps for Apple and Android devices at this same time (2 months). After those apps are developed we will begin working on apps for Xbox, Playstation, Hulu and more.
We know that our community is strong enough to get us to where we need to be. All money from the original GoFundMe can be tracked and information will be posted about where every dollar has gone so far. In fact, the final $3,000 has already been contributed to start the new design with this top firm. We haven't wasted your money. But to get where we need to be we're going to need a little bit more. And while we'd love for someone with deep pockets to come be an investor, no one has stepped forward. And those who have we do not feel would have the best vision for TheWeedTube. The reason this site works is because it wasn't started by money hungry tyrants. We are a site built by creators, for creators. We plan to keep it that way.
This fundraiser was started quickly and we wanted to include all the basic information that we could. Please check back regularly as we will be adding information about how the past funds were used, and other important updates with the site.
