Our friends Heidi and Clint Watson were unfortunately severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey. On early Sunday morning, August 27, 2017, rains from Hurricane Harvey overwhelmed the drainage ditches surrounding their home in Santa Fe, TX. Floodwaters were so high that they had to escape with their dog Kansas and only what they could carry on their backs as they walked through waist-deep water in the dark to safety. The floodwaters destroyed all of Heidi and Clint’s personal belongings as their home took on more than 3 feet of water. Because this was a flood, homeowner’s insurance won’t cover damages to the house or belongings.
They are currently without a home or any possessions. During the next few months, they will need assistance in covering operational expenses as they put their lives back together.
