Campaign Story:

Hello, we are Queen Sika & The Ward Family Trust, and we are reaching out to our community for help after our family property was intentionally and catastrophically destroyed by a former tenant. The cost to repair the damage is estimated to be over $180,000, and we are asking for your support to help us rebuild.

Our Story:

After a long and difficult legal process, we successfully and legally evicted a tenant from our property. The court ordered her to vacate by June 23, 2025.After a long and difficult legal process, we successfully and legally evicted a tenant from our property. The court ordered her to vacate by June 23, 2025.

Before she finally left the premises prior to the official lockout on August 6, 2025, she enacted a horrifying campaign of malicious destruction designed to cause the maximum possible damage to the home. When we regained possession of the property, we were met with a scene of absolute devastation.

The Devastating Aftermath

The tenant's actions were deliberate and cruel. We discovered that she had:

* Intentionally flooded the entire unit by leaving the water running for at least 24 hours. This completely ruined the floors, subflooring, and all of the kitchen cabinets.

* Destroyed the bathroom plumbing system.

* Destroyed the electrical panel, creating a dangerous hazard.

* Left dog feces and urine throughout the entire unit, resulting in an unbearable stench and a serious biohazard that requires professional remediation.

* Caused a fire in the unit with her mother on January 17, 2025, the report for which we have on file.

Essentially, the entire interior of the home is unusable. Everything must be gutted and replaced.

The Financial Burden

The financial impact on our family trust has been staggering.

* Repair Costs:

The initial estimate to clean, repair, and rebuild the unit is upwards of $175,000. This includes mold remediation, a complete overhaul of the plumbing and electrical systems, and replacing all the floors, cabinets, and fixtures.

* Lost Income:

This comes on top of over $50,000 in lost income during the more than year-long process to deal with this tenant.

This was not normal wear and tear; this was a calculated act of vandalism. We are pursuing all legal avenues against this individual, but that process is slow and costly. In the meantime, the property continues to sit in a state of ruin.

*Issues with Insurance

Some would question if we have insurance and yes even though we do have insurance, anyone having to deal with insurance adjusters in California, Florida and other disaster prone states has come to realize that insurance companies are trying to cover the bare minimum. So, our insurance is not sufficient to cover the terrible damages that have occurred. I just wanted to be totally transparent about our situation.

How Your Support Will Help

We have created this GoFundMe to humbly ask for your support in bringing this home back from ruin. Every single dollar raised will go directly towards:

* Professional biohazard cleanup and sanitation.

* Demolition of all destroyed materials.

* Hiring licensed plumbers and electricians to make the home safe again.

* Purchasing and installing new flooring, kitchen cabinets, and bathroom fixtures.

* Repairing the extensive water and structural damage.

Our Plea

No homeowner or property owner should ever have to experience something this devastating. We have meticulously documented all the damage with photos and have all legal reports available, including the arson and vandalism reports.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a world of difference in helping our family recover from this malicious act. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this campaign with your network would be an incredible act of support.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.

With immense gratitude,

The Ward Family Trust
