<div>The family, friends, and co-workers of a 17 year veteran of the Northfield Police Department and former Marine are asking for the community's assistance after a devasting fire at their Egg Harbor Township home on February 1st.

<div>Joseph and Melissa Vola's home was completely destroyed including all possessions.  Luckily Joe, Melissa, and their two young children escaped unharmed but their dog "Scooby" did not survive.

<div>The family of four and their four surviving dogs are now displaced and need to recover from this tragic, unexpected loss.
</div>

<div>The Vola family routinely opens their home to foster animals, now they need a home for their family and their animals.
