Help the Vernon Public Library rebuild!

Greetings! My name is Gary Coufal, and I have been serving as board President for the Vernon Public Library for several years. My wife, Robyn, has been serving as Director even longer and has worked tirelessly to transform the library into a creative, comfortable environment, safe for all Central NY families! Sadly, we recently suffered a significant setback that we're working to recover from.

After discovering a burst water pipe on the second floor, and inches of water on the main floor, we had no choice but to close for what was sure to be a complete remodel. Fortunately, we saved almost all of our books since most were located around the room's perimeter and not in the center. Everything damaged by the water has been removed, including all ceiling tiles and carpeting. We were fortunate enough to get a local company in right away to deal with removing the water and getting the place dried out.

We have been operating on investment funding with little public funding for a few years. If you're willing to donate, every little bit helps! We aren't looking for much, maybe just enough to cover supplies...some paint and carpeting, perhaps some new bookshelves.
